Jason Aaron - Acclaimed Marvel and DC Comics Writer at Comic Con Portugal 2026
Jason Aaron, the mind behind celebrated Marvel storylines like Thor: God of Thunder and, more recently, DC's Absolute Superman, will be a guest at Comic Con Portugal 2026, held in Santa Maria da Feira from April 23rd to 26th. Beginning his comics career in the early 2000s at Marvel Comics, Aaron quickly became known for his work on flagship titles such as Wolverine, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, and Avengers. Over two decades, his narratives have profoundly impacted Marvel Studios productions. Transitioning to DC Comics, Aaron penned the OffWorld miniseries and several Action Comics specials before launching Absolute Superman in November 2024, which reimagines Kal-El's arrival on Earth as a teenager. Throughout his career, Aaron has earned multiple Eisner Award nominations, winning twice. Comic Con Portugal 2026 marks a rare European appearance for the writer, according to organizers. He also partnered with Jason Latour to create the acclaimed Southern Bastards, and his Scalped remains a standout in crime comics.
