Replaced: The Elusive Cyberpunk Pixel-Art Finally Has a Release Date and New Trailer

Cyberpunk Action-Platformer Replaced Launches March 12, 2026 - Delayed Development Details and New Locale

Sad Cat Studios announced that Replaced, its 2D pixel-art cyberpunk action-platformer, will launch on March 12, 2026. The release date was revealed in a new trailer showcasing the game's availability on PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store, as well as on Xbox Series X/S. The price is currently unknown. Originally announced in 2021 and initially slated for release in 2022, Replaced faced delays due to the conflict in Ukraine. Russia's invasion impacted Sad Cat Studios, then based in Belarus, pushing the release into 2025. The studio has since relocated to Cyprus. Replaced is set in an alternate 1980s and features a unique 2.5D style, blending pixel art with immersive environments. Players will control R.E.A.C.H., an AI trapped in a human body, as it navigates a society controlled by Phoenixcity, a sprawling megacorporation. The game's environments include grim alleyways, derelict industrial zones, and neon-lit streets in a post-nuclear world. In a message to the community, director Yura Zhdanovich expressed gratitude for players' patience, stating, "We knew this story deserved time."
