Limited-Time Avatars for Animal Crossing New Horizons on Nintendo Switch Online - Claim Before December 2025!

While Nintendo may release titles such as Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, and Kirby Air Riders for the Nintendo Switch 2 in its early months, the company is also providing updates and gifts for owners of the original Nintendo Switch. Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can now claim free Animal Crossing: New Horizons-themed avatars. These avatars are available for a limited time, until December 2, 2025, at 1:59 AM (French time). To claim them, launch your Nintendo Switch, select the Nintendo Switch Online icon, and navigate to the Missions and Rewards section (represented by a gift icon). From there, select Animal Crossing: New Horizons, choose the avatar you want, and click Exchange. Repeat this process for each avatar you wish to acquire. Animal Crossing: New Horizons will receive a major update on January 15, 2026, coinciding with a release on Nintendo Switch 2. This update aims to renew player interest with new features and improvements.

In-Game Turkey Day Event in Animal Crossing New Horizons - Gather Ingredients, Complete Quests, and Unlock More NPC Tasks!

In the meantime, players who are active on their islands can also participate in the in-game Turkey Day event, held at the Town Services plaza on Thanksgiving from 9 AM to midnight. During this event, players assist Franklin the turkey chef by gathering secret ingredients for his feast. Players can gather ingredients by searching the island or helping villagers; villagers will then gift ingredients for the Turkey Day quests. A temporary fishing spot called Maple Medal will also appear as part of this update, and giving a Turkey fish to Pilgrim, the main NPC, will complete the initial quest and unlock more NPC quests. Be sure to claim your avatars before they disappear.
