In recent months, numerous fake videos have circulated on social media, exploiting fans eager for new content. These posts often spread false or misleading information to attract attention. On November 25, the Twitter account ZapActu GTA6 posted an AI-generated video of GTA 6 that has amassed widespread attention across social media platforms. The video, which depicted the character Lucia walking in the rain, garnered 8 million views in just over 24 hours. Despite community warnings that the video was AI-generated, many viewers believed it was genuine gameplay footage. The same account has shared similar clips, also receiving millions of views, further contributing to the confusion.

Zap Actu GTA6 has since deleted the video and apologized for the confusion caused. In a statement to IGN, the creator said the intention wasn't malicious. They wanted to observe people's reactions and demonstrate how easily AI-generated content can be mistaken for reality in 2025. Zap Actu GTA6 insisted there was no financial motivation and apologized to anyone who felt frustrated or misled, stating, "It was really just a big joke. I did this only to entertain the community." The creator is now deleting posts and closing accounts. Zap Actu GTA6 claims they will only share authentic, verified Grand Theft Auto 6 news in the future and to clearly label any theoretical or speculative content.
