World of Warcraft: Shadowlands - Midnight to be Released on March 2nd

World of Warcraft's Midnight Expansion Launches March 2, 2026 - Preorder Bonuses & Player Housing Included

World of Warcraft's next chapter arrives as Xalatath and its Devouring Host prepare to march on Lunargenta. Blizzard has announced that Midnight, the second expansion in the Soul of the World saga, will launch globally on March 2, 2026. This 11th expansion revisits a revamped Quel'Thalas and introduces player housing and the new Haranir Allied Race. Midnight will be available in Base, Heroic, and Epic editions, each offering various preorder bonuses, such as flying mounts, transmog sets, and pets. The Epic edition grants three-day early access to the expansion itself, as well as bonus items like a Lightning Dragonhawk and a Hopletaur pet. Furthermore, preordering any edition unlocks early access to player housing starting December 2, 2025. Players can then customize their homes with furnishings acquired through in-game challenges, professions, achievements, or premium currency. A new Prey system and updates to Silvermoon City are also included in Midnight. In a related change, Blizzard is restricting UI mods from interacting with gameplay elements, ensuring the game is fully playable without add-ons and significantly altering the playstyle of most specializations. The expansion was initially revealed at Gamescom this past summer.

World of Warcraft's Midnight Update 11.2.7 Launches Dec 2 with Player Housing & Cross-Game Rewards

Early access to player housing will begin with the regional launch of The War Within content update 11.2.7 on December 2 for those who prepurchase Midnight. Separately, John plans to return to The Burning Crusade on November 26, 2025, for a four-month playthrough. To mark this World of Warcraft release, other Blizzard games will offer special rewards. Players who complete the introductory housing mission series and earn the Welcome Home achievement in World of Warcraft will unlock a My Home card back in Hearthstone, a nameplate, spray, and Symmetra skin in Overwatch 2, and themed console visuals for the Horde and Alliance in Starcraft II. Additional details are available on the Blizzard website. Midnight promises a significant update to the World of Warcraft universe.
