Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Faces Harsh Criticism from Players

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 - Disappointment Amidst Sales Success: Fanbase's Growing Concerns

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, the newest entry in Activision's immensely popular annual franchise, is facing harsh criticism despite the series' consistent sales success, highlighting growing concerns among its fanbase. The game has received a user score of only 1.9 on Metacritic, with a mere 15% of users reviewing the game positively. The Steam reviews from PC players are similarly unfavorable, with an aggregate score of only 42%. While console players' opinions may vary, widespread sentiment on Reddit echoes the Metacritic and Steam reviews. Many users are criticizing Black Ops 7's campaign, and some are even expressing regret for earlier criticisms of previous titles. Some believe the annual release cycle has caused the series to decline and accuse Activision of damaging the Black Ops canon through recent game design choices. This feedback, while not representative of the entire community, suggests significant frustration among dedicated players.
