Player Plays Six Consecutive Days to Enter Guinness

Unstoppable Grasshopper Dances Way into Guinness Records with 144-Hour Dance Dance Revolution Marathon

Hungarian gamer Szabolcs Csepe, known online as Grasshopper, has earned official recognition from Guinness World Records for playing Dance Dance Revolution for 144 consecutive hours. Over the course of his six-day marathon, Grasshopper danced to approximately 3,000 songs. He also burned an estimated 22,000 calories. This is not Grasshopper's first time setting gaming endurance records. In 2021, he played Naruto for 28 hours straight and Tetris Effect for 32 hours. In 2023, he broke two world records by playing Gran Turismo 7 for 90 hours. However, the Dance Dance Revolution challenge was particularly demanding, requiring constant physical movement, coordination, and stamina. Grasshopper described the experience as both difficult and comfortable, reflecting the blend of stamina and concentration required. His preparation included rigorous practice sessions, a carefully planned nutrition and hydration strategy, and the support of a dedicated team. This level of preparation mirrors that of an athlete training for a major competition, underscoring the intensity of the challenge.
