Arc Raiders Threatens Battlefield 6 With Strong Launch, Peak of 264,000 Players on First Day

Strong Debut of Arc Raiders Challenges Top Shooters on Steam with Peak of 264K Players

Embark Studios' new shooter, Arc Raiders, is positioned to challenge established titles like Battlefield 6 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 on Steam's most-played list. The game is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. According to SteamDB, Arc Raiders achieved a peak of 264,000 concurrent players on Steam on its first day. Within one hour of release, the game had already attracted 140,000 players on Valve's platform, climbing to over 200,000 within six hours and eventually reaching 264,673. This opening performance surpasses even the launch of Embark's The Finals in December 2024. Arc Raiders' strong initial player base—over 260,000 concurrent players on Steam—arrives as Battlefield 6's battle royale mode, Redsec, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 approach release. Embark Studios is carving out a distinct niche with its game. As a third-person cooperative extraction shooter, Arc Raiders offers a different gameplay experience, and the developers at Embark, comprised of former DICE talent, demonstrate their expertise in creating compelling shooter environments within a competitive market.
