NBA The Run Will Be a "Spiritual Successor" to NBA Street

Play By Play Studios Unveils NBA The Run - Street Basketball Action Featuring Stars and Iconic Courts

If you've been waiting for a new street basketball game since the end of the NBA Street series, Play By Play Studios—a team founded by former EA developers—is creating NBA The Run, a 3x3 basketball game set on real street courts. NBA The Run emphasizes highlight-reel plays reminiscent of the Harlem Globetrotters, including crossovers and acrobatic shots. Featuring an NBA license, the game will include stars like Luka Dončić, LaMelo Ball, Steph Curry, Cooper Flagg, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Anthony Edwards, and will feature iconic courts such as Rucker Park in New York City, Venice Beach in Los Angeles, and The Tenement in the Philippines. The developers have also confirmed that NBA The Run will employ rollback netcode in its multiplayer mode, a system that ensures smooth online matches even with lag.
