Gunn's Superman a Failure, Criticizes Writer

DC Studios' Fate Uncertain Amid Acquisition Talks; Dixon Criticizes Gunn Over Superman's Disappointing Performance

With Warner Bros. Discovery weighing acquisition offers from companies like Paramount, Netflix, Comcast, Amazon, and Apple, DC Studios faces an uncertain future. Chuck Dixon, a Batman writer from the 1990s and 2000s, believes James Gunn and Peter Safran's tenure at DC Studios may be in jeopardy, especially after Peacemaker season two concluded on October 13 without renewal announcements. Dixon told Fandom Pulse that the disappointing performance of Superman could seal Gunn's fate: "I think it's curtains for him. If it wasn't a Superman film, he might've dodged the axe, but recouping money with this one's tough." This marks Dixon's first criticism of Gunn's direction since the release of DC Studios films and series.
