My Hero Academia Author Avoids Mistakes of Other Authors with Hollywood

Hollywood's Close Collaboration with My Hero Academia Author for Authentic Adaptation

My Hero Academia, a hugely popular manga from Japan, has captured global attention and garnered interest from Hollywood for a live-action film adaptation. This adaptation, however, is proceeding with significant oversight from the manga's author, Kohei Horikoshi. Screenwriter Jason Fuchs, who is adapting My Hero Academia, confirmed Horikoshi's extensive involvement in every step of the creative process, from story ideas to individual scenes. Fuchs emphasized that Horikoshi's direct approval is required for all creative decisions, stating, "No sketch, no scene, nothing goes by without Kohei checking it out and giving the thumbs up or down." The manga itself is set in a world where nearly everyone possesses superpowers, known as "Quirks." The protagonist, Izuku Midoriya (nicknamed Deku), initially lacks these powers until he encounters All Might, the world's greatest hero. Fans of My Hero Academia appreciate its captivating narrative and look forward to future projects maintaining the high quality established by the manga.
