Streamer Forcibly Attempted to Be Kissed and Groped at TwitchCon

Title: Unauthorized Kissing Attempt at TwitchCon Leaves Streamer Emiru Dissatisfied with Security Measures

Streamer and cosplayer Emiru experienced a distressing incident at TwitchCon 2025 in San Diego. During a fan meet-and-greet, an unauthorized individual bypassed security, approached her, grabbed her face, and attempted to forcefully kiss her. Emiru's team immediately intervened, as event security was initially absent. Emiru later stated that the individual had proceeded through several protected areas without security stopping him. Following the incident, organizers did not check on her; she subsequently learned organizers had ejected the person from the event. Expressing deep dissatisfaction with the handling of the situation, Emiru felt she had been left unprotected despite her team's presence. As a result, she announced she would not be returning to TwitchCon and urged other creators to reconsider attending future events. Twitch responded by characterizing the incident as unacceptable and disturbing. The platform stated its intention to enhance security measures at future events, especially during meet-and-greets. However, Emiru remained unhappy with the initial response and overall security protocols, reiterating her strong stance.
