PS5's DualSense V3 Doesn't Meet Many Expectations

PS5's DualSense V3 - Subtle Design Refinements Without Removable Battery Debunked

Austin Evans's video debunked speculation that the new DualSense V3 controller for PS5 would feature a removable battery. Evans's examination confirmed the battery remains built-in, meaning it still requires traditional charging. Compared to its predecessor, the V3 is slightly lighter. This change stems from design adjustments, including the removal of the rear microphone, modifications to the motors, and a revised battery connector. While these internal tweaks do not affect gameplay, they suggest minor design improvements. The V3 retains all core DualSense features, such as adaptive triggers, haptic feedback, and tactile sensors. Ultimately, the DualSense V3 introduces internal refinements rather than a radical overhaul. Players will experience the same gameplay, but with a subtly lighter controller featuring these updated components.
