Xbox's Greatest Name Ever Could Be Coming to PlayStation 5

Halo's Remake on PlayStation5? Potential Multiplatform Expansion for Halo Franchise

According to leaks from the HaloLeaks account, Microsoft's gaming division is preparing a remake of Halo: Combat Evolved, promising updated controls, mechanics, and graphics. These leaks also suggest the Xbox flagship title could eventually launch on PlayStation platforms. On Twitter, HaloLeaks indicated confidence that the remake will incorporate modern gameplay features like sprint, similar to those seen in Halo Infinite's multiplayer. They further stated it would be a full remake, akin to the Resident Evil series, and confirmed a PlayStation 5 version is in development. However, HaloLeaks noted uncertainty regarding an official announcement at the upcoming October event. This potential release aligns with Microsoft's multiplatform strategy. Forza Horizon 5 and Gears of War: Reloaded are already available on PlayStation 5, and Forza Horizon 6 is confirmed for the console. With Halo being the last major Xbox franchise not yet on PlayStation, its eventual arrival on the platform appears increasingly likely given Microsoft's consistent push towards multiplatform releases.
