Tomonobu Itagaki, a legendary figure in Japanese gaming, has passed away at the age of 58. News of his passing came alongside a Facebook message, attributed to him, in which he stated that his life's flame was diminishing and that he "wouldn't be around anymore." In this message, Itagaki expressed pride in fighting for his beliefs until the end, despite facing numerous challenges. His only regret: not giving fans more new work. The announcement prompted immediate reactions from fans and industry figures alike. Katsuhiro Harada, director of the Tekken series, shared his shock at the news. Itagaki was best known for creating Dead or Alive, a 3D fighting game series.
