New Digital Special Edition Announced for Metaphor: Refantazio - Includes Strategy Guide, Art Book, Soundtrack, and More
Over the weekend, Atlus hosted a livestream event commemorating Metaphor: Refantazio's first anniversary. For those who missed it, the full video is available on YouTube and Steam, featuring a review of the past year with discussions from game director Katsura Hashino, character designer Shigenori Soejima, voice actors, and fans. Soejima created a special illustration for a virtual raffle held as part of the celebration. During the event, Atlus also announced a new digital Special Edition for Metaphor: Refantazio, which it will release in early 2026 on Xbox Series X|S, Windows, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Steam. This Special Edition will include the base game and a suite of digital extras: a 55-page Essential Digital Strategy Guide, an art book, the soundtrack, and two outfit sets, each with unique music. The 55-page strategy guide is a summary compiled by Future Press from a more comprehensive 592-page guide. Players who own the 35th Anniversary Digital Edition on Steam at launch will receive the Essential Digital Strategy Guide for free. As part of the anniversary festivities, Atlus is currently discounting the base game and the Atlus 35th Anniversary Edition by 45% on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Steam.
