Nintendo Switch 2: Two Exceptional Games from a Distinctive License Confirm, and They're Coming Soon

Bloober Team's Continued Focus on Layers of Fear in Horror Gaming Dominance

Bloober Team has established itself as a prolific studio within the last decade, with a track record that includes titles such as Layers of Fear, Cronos: The New Dawn, Silent Hill 2, Blair Witch, and The Medium. Despite their extensive project list, the studio continues to prioritize Layers of Fear, a game credited with significantly raising their profile in the horror gaming genre.

Bloober Team's Layers of Fears Expansion and The Final Masterpiece Edition on Nintendo Switch 2

Initially released in 2017, the original Layers of Fear garnered significant attention. Its 2019 sequel, Layers of Fear 2, did not achieve the same level of impact. However, Bloober Team reunited both titles in 2023 with Layers of Fears. The horror series is set to expand further with The Final Masterpiece Edition, scheduled for release on Nintendo Switch 2 this year. While Bloober Team has not announced a firm release date and no gameplay previews are available yet, this version will be digital-only, offering new players access to the series. Bloober Team has not yet disclosed details regarding new features for The Final Masterpiece Edition. While the title may suggest additional content, the studio indicates it is likely a port designed for the Nintendo Switch 2. Bloober Team's focus on multiple other projects further suggests this release is primarily a direct port. (Source: Bloober Team)
