First Look at OD: Knock - Kojima's New Xbox Horror Game Collaboration with Jordan Peele

Hideo Kojima, known for shaking up the horror gaming world with the PS4 teaser P.T., is once again venturing into the genre with OD: Knock for Xbox. The first trailer for his dedicated horror game debuted at Kojima Productions' tenth-anniversary celebration in Japan, held in the early morning hours of the 23rd. Fans anticipate that OD: Knock will carry the same eerie tension and distinct strangeness characteristic of P.T. Initially announced at The Game Awards last year, Kojima and director Jordan Peele, known for films such as Get Out, Us, and Nope, envision OD: Knock as a multimedia experience, utilizing Xbox cloud tools for this project. During the initial announcement, the plan was for Kojima to develop the game while Peele handled the film component, aiming for a unique integration between the two. Microsoft has previously explored integrated multimedia experiences. In 2016, the company partnered with Remedy to release Quantum Break, a time-manipulation game that featured TV series episodes interspersed between its chapters. While Quantum Break did not achieve blockbuster commercial success, it delivered a distinctive player experience.
