Top 20 Dreamcast Games in US Revenue & Units (1995-2025) - A Diverse Gaming Legacy
Despite its brief time on the market, the Dreamcast left behind a legacy of classic games. According to Circana data, the top 20 Dreamcast games in the U.S., spanning from '95 to '25, are based on physical and digital full game sales, excluding hardware bundles with software. Sega Sports' NFL 2K and NFL 2K1 topped the revenue charts, generating more money than any other console titles. In terms of units sold, however, Sonic Adventure took the lead. When considering both sports and action-arcade titles, top performers were varied, including NFL 2K, Crazy Taxi, NFL 2K1, and NBA 2K1. This suggests Dreamcast fans desired a diverse gaming experience. Other memorable titles on the console included SoulCalibur, Shenmue, and Resident Evil: Code Veronica. The list also featured niche games such as Bass Fishing and Virtua Tennis, demonstrating the diverse appeal of Dreamcast titles within the U.S. market. Notably, some games ranked high in units sold but lower in revenue. Crazy Taxi and Virtua Tennis, for instance, may have benefited from more affordable pricing or extended catalog sales. The compiled data reveals a significant presence of Sega Sports titles and other classics that remain memorable. Here is the full ranking: 1. NFL 2K
