Cyberpunk 2 Might Bring Back an Iconic Character You All Adore

Could a Familiar Face Return in Cyberpunk 2's Futuristic World?

One of the most eagerly awaited sequels on the horizon is Cyberpunk 2. Following the success of Cyberpunk 2077 and its Phantom Liberty DLC, fans are excited to see where the next installment takes the futuristic world inspired by Mike Pondsmith's tabletop RPG. Many aspects of the first game were spot-on, including the casting, prompting questions about the potential return of familiar faces. At least one actor has expressed readiness to step back into their role.

Keanu Reeves' Potential Return as Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk Universe's Untold Adventure

In Cyberpunk 2077, players portray a mercenary navigating Night City's escalating gang conflicts. The protagonist carries a chip containing the personality of legendary rock star Johnny Silverhand, a pivotal and memorable character in the game's narrative. Keanu Reeves (known for The Matrix and John Wick franchises) brought Silverhand to life, even engaging with the game at public events. Consequently, fan desire for his return in Cyberpunk 2 is strong. Reeves recently expressed his willingness to reprise the role, stating, "I would love to play Johnny Silverhand again." While his enthusiasm is clear, the character's fate ultimately rests with the development team at CD Projekt. The studio has yet to disclose specific plot details for Cyberpunk 2. However, PR Manager Ola Sonderj indicated that the game will not be a direct sequel but rather an "untold adventure in the same universe." This narrative approach suggests that well-known characters, including Johnny Silverhand, could make a comeback. The possibility of Keanu Reeves returning as Johnny Silverhand in this new, unexplored chapter within the Cyberpunk universe adds to the excitement for the upcoming sequel. (Source: IGN)
