Another Big Announcement Leaked? Beloved License Making a Comeback in Upcoming Nintendo Direct?

Nintendo Direct Rumors Swirl Ahead of Possible Revival of Beloved Franchise

Rumors of a new Nintendo Direct have intensified recently. Traditionally, Nintendo hosts a Direct event before the Tokyo Game Show in September to showcase upcoming year-end titles and hint at future plans. Given this pattern, a Direct this month would not be unexpected, particularly as leaks often precede such announcements. Current reports strongly suggest the revival of a beloved, long-dormant franchise.

Nintendo Direct Rumors Suggest New Pokémon Spin-offs, Including Possible Return of Pokémon Ranger and Mystery Dungeon

If Nintendo announces a new conference, industry insiders and leakers are expected to share details. Reports indicate teasers for three games featuring the number "7." An FF7 remake for the Nintendo Switch 2 appears probable, though other titles remain subjects of discussion. The most recent whispers, however, heavily involve the Pokémon franchise. With Pokémon Legends: Arceus reportedly nearing release, many anticipate another spin-off from the series to be revealed at the upcoming Nintendo Direct. Insiders Riddler Khu and Necrolipe have affirmed these rumors, although they have a mixed track record with past predictions. The community has since been buzzing regarding potential spin-offs. Some hope for a new Pokémon Ranger, suggesting it could utilize the Nintendo Switch 2's "mouse mode." However, a new Pokémon Mystery Dungeon title has been a long-standing fan request. While Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX was released in 2020, it was primarily a remake. Fans are now anticipating fresh adventures featuring new generation Pokémon. All eyes are on the potential September Nintendo Direct for official announcements regarding these highly anticipated titles.
