Kingdom Hearts fans have certainly felt an extended wait for news since the surprise announcement of Kingdom Hearts 4 in April 2022. Unlike the frequent updates seen for titles like Hollow Knight Silksong, information regarding Kingdom Hearts 4 has been scarce, with Square Enix sharing only a few blurry images since its reveal two years ago. This silence has left many fans concerned about the project's status, wondering if they would ever see more. However, Director Tetsuya Nomura recently offered reassurance: Kingdom Hearts 4 is still happening. Fans had hoped for Kingdom Hearts 4 news at D23, but it was during another event that an update finally arrived. Following the mention of Kingdom Hearts 4, Tetsuya Nomura discussed the ongoing development of Final Fantasy VII Remake 3, confirming significant progress and stating that an internal date has been established for a future announcement.
