Reduced 825GB SSD PlayStation 5 Digital Edition Coming to Europe on September 13th
An updated PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, model CFI2100, is expected to launch in Europe on September 13th. This new revision will feature an 825GB SSD, a reduction from the current 1TB, but will retain the existing price of €499. Trusted leaker Billbilkun revealed this information, stating that he uncovered these details in Japanese certification documents archived in June 2025. This capacity change is particularly significant for the Digital Edition, which primarily stores digital games and can only play physical media with an additional disc reader. In contrast, the hardware revision for the PlayStation 5 Disc Edition is expected to maintain its 1TB SSD capacity upon its release. To help consumers distinguish between models, the packaging for these new consoles will clearly label the 825GB SSD size.
