Nintendo Announces Forsaken 64 Release on NSO, Adding to Fan-Favorites Donkey Kong 64 and Smash Bros. Lineup
Nintendo officially confirmed that Forsaken 64 is joining the Nintendo Switch Online lineup, a service available for both the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The company also announced the game's release date as September 4, making it the 40th N64 title available on the service. This official confirmation lends credibility to fan discoveries from July. In July, blurry images circulated that fans suspected were leaks from the N64 subscription service. Fans claimed to have identified covers for Super Smash Bros., Glover, Donkey Kong 64, and Forsaken 64 among these unreleased titles. These discoveries align with ImakuniVT's observation that Donkey Kong 64 and Forsaken 64 appeared to fit together once a Gaussian blur was applied. Donkey Kong 64 and Super Smash Bros. are two of the most frequently requested games by fans, and their appearance in the July leaks indicates they could also be added to the service.
