World's Most Visited Gaming Fair: ChinaJoy 2023 Breaks Attendance Record with 410,000 Attendees

China's Digital Entertainment Expo and Conference (ChinaJoy), held in Shanghai from August 1-4, attracted over 410,000 attendees, setting a new record and becoming the world's most visited gaming fair. This attendance marks a significant increase from last year's 338,000 participants. The event spanned approximately 135,000 square meters of exhibition space and featured 799 companies. Of these, 313 exhibited on the show floor, while 486 were part of the B2B section. Companies from 37 countries and regions participated, with foreign firms accounting for nearly 43% of the total, according to organizers. Attendees were 66% men and 34% women. Approximately 40% of visitors were from the Shanghai metropolitan area, with 60% originating from other regions. The dedicated business area recorded 41,200 participants, of whom approximately 35% were foreign executives. With these figures, ChinaJoy distinguishes itself as a premier global gaming exhibition. Its scale and reach position it prominently among other major international events, including the Brazil Game Show (October, 3.28 million visitors) and Gamescom in Cologne (August, 3.2 million visitors).
