LEGO Batman Returns to Dark Knight Films in Standalone Open-World Game (Gamescom Announcement on August 19th)
Gaming account Legottnewsi, known for its insights into TT Games projects, released further details about this LEGO Batman title on X, following initial leaks two weeks prior. According to Legottnewsi, the new game will allow players to revisit various live-action Dark Knight films across different eras, offering the choice to explore a preferred period. While specific live-action films are not yet confirmed, Batman v Superman is reportedly excluded. Legottnewsi indicates this game will be a standalone experience, separate from the previous LEGO Batman trilogy released between 2008 and 2014. The title will reportedly incorporate the latest TT Games and LEGO Star Wars gameplay standards and is also suggested to feature an open-world Gotham City. An official announcement for the LEGO Batman game is anticipated on August 19th during Gamescom's opening ceremony. A Spring 2026 release window is currently rumored, but these details remain unconfirmed until TT Games or Warner Bros. Games makes an official statement.
