Rob Fergusson, a popular figure among Gears of War fans and more recently, Diablo enthusiasts, is departing Microsoft once again. He previously returned to Microsoft to lead the Gears of War series at The Coalition for several years, then spent the last five years overseeing the Diablo franchise with the aim of reviving it. Fergusson announced his decision to leave, expressing satisfaction with his work on Diablo and confidence in the team remaining to execute future plans for the series. He stated that he is beginning a new chapter in his life but did not disclose his next career move.
