The Sims 4 Console Connectivity Troubles Disrupt “Call of Nature” Event, Maxis Extends and Compensates

The Sims 4, originally released in 2014, continues to receive updates aimed at enhancing its performance across all platforms. While Maxis teams are dedicated to resolving long-standing issues, glitches can significantly disrupt gameplay, especially during ongoing events. This became particularly evident in July 2024, when console players encountered connectivity troubles that hindered their progress in the “Call of Nature” event. From June 24 to August 5, 2024, players on PlayStation and Xbox experienced difficulties with basic actions, such as taking bathroom breaks, which impeded their ability to complete objectives and earn free event content. Recognizing this disruption, Maxis addressed the connectivity issues. To compensate for the lost playtime and provide an additional opportunity to complete objectives, Maxis has extended the “Call of Nature” event by an entire month, now concluding on September 2, 2024. Players can also earn bonus rewards, including furniture inspired by the Enchanted Nature DLC extension.
