Borderlands 4 Launches September 12, Introduces Four New Vault Hunters on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X (Nintendo Switch 2 Later)

Borderlands 4 is set to release on September 12, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version launching at a later date. The game, which recently achieved a Gold rating, will transport players to the planet Kairos alongside four new Vault Hunters. To celebrate this milestone, a new gameplay video showcases one of these characters.

Borderlands 4 Introduces Amon - New Tank-Oriented Vault Hunter With Tiny Tina's Wonderlands Influence

A trailer recently featured Vex, Borderlands 4's main character, and offered a glimpse into the abilities of the full roster. This included Rafal with his experimental digiconstruction gear, Harlowe the scientist who manipulates gravity, and Amon, a futuristic barbarian known as Forgeknight. Attention now shifts to a 1.5-minute gameplay video that primarily highlights Amon. Players who enjoy intense gameplay, action-packed sequences, or a tank-oriented playstyle may find Amon particularly appealing. Like other Vault Hunters, Amon possesses three unique skills, each with its own skill tree. These include the ability to throw elemental axes, unleash a powerful elemental hammer strike that generates a massive shockwave, and conjure a robust shield wall to absorb and reflect enemy damage. Amon, a new Vault Hunter, combines a futuristic aesthetic, reminiscent of Kratos, with elements inspired by Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, the RPG-spinoff acclaimed for its melee combat. Each new hunter in this installment offers distinct abilities, providing players with diverse choices upon the game's release. Players can find additional information on Tiny Tina's Wonderlands on YouTube.
