PS4 Version of Genshin Impact to be Discontinued

Genshin Impact PS4 Support Ends in April 2026 – Phaseout and Transition Details

Mihoyo announced that it will phase out the PlayStation 4 version of Genshin Impact, citing hardware limits and application size issues on the platform. Effective September 10, the game will no longer be available on the PlayStation Store; however, players who already own it can still redownload it from their library. On February 25, 2026, Mihoyo will remove all in-game purchases from both the PlayStation Store and the game’s internal store. Prior to the conclusion of Genshin Impact PS4 updates, players can still retrieve any unclaimed items purchased via the PlayStation Store by playing the game on PS4. Support for Genshin Impact on PS4 will officially conclude on April 8, 2026, after which players can only redeem any remaining unclaimed items by playing the game on PS5. Mihoyo recommends that PS4 players transfer their accounts to PS5 or other supported platforms before support for the platform fully ceases. The developer will begin reminding players of this transition starting December 17.
