While SSDs later streamlined aspects, he noted that “it took several years and big patches to restore the game’s reputation.” The release of Version 2.0 was a pivotal moment, giving Cyberpunk 2077 a fresh start and enabling it to become the game the development team envisioned. The Phantom Liberty DLC further played a crucial role in reintroducing the improved game to players. Without this comprehensive effort, Cyberpunk 2077 would not have achieved its current acclaim.

Reflecting on the extensive work involved, Tremblay shared his confidence in the game’s transformation, stating in The Mirror: “I think we’ve made Cyberpunk 2077 a better game than it would’ve been otherwise. I’m pretty happy about it and believe it’ll stand the test of time.”
