Peak, the popular cooperative survival game developed by Team Peak and published by Aggro Crab, recently released an update that surprised players by introducing a cannibalism mechanic. This feature was added despite the developers previously stating it would not be included. The team humorously announced the addition in the update notes under “What’s New,” stating simply: “Cannibalism added.” This highly requested community feature generated significant buzz, following a “hmm” social media post a few days prior that sparked widespread discussion. The update also brings Polish and Turkish translations, alongside new gameplay features. Players can now adjust vision while climbing, and the team implemented a new “Push-to-Mute” mode, serving as the opposite of “Push-to-Talk.” The update adjusted the balance of consumable items such as Trail Mix and Scorchberry, and the Remedy mushroom now effectively cures poison. The team resolved most critical bugs, including taking fall damage from small drops. However, some issues on slopes remain, and the team is working on a consistent fix. Additionally, the team temporarily removed the Napberry plant due to performance problems it caused. Improvements to item management and overall game performance were also made, particularly in higher game areas.

Currently, Peak maintains an active player base, with approximately 38,004 players online. In the past 24 hours, the game reached a peak concurrent player count of 64,871.
