Ninja Gaiden 4 on Xbox Series to Get Physical Edition with Disc

Xbox Series X Physical Editions for Ninja Gaiden 4 and The Outer Worlds 2 Include Game Discs - Full Functionality Details Unveiled Soon

US retailers have informed customers that Xbox is changing its approach to physical game releases for two upcoming 2025 titles: the Xbox Series X editions of Ninja Gaiden 4 and The Outer Worlds 2. Unlike previous Xbox Series X physical editions, which contained digital download codes, these new releases are now expected to include game discs. This shift holds significance for collectors. However, the full functionality of these discs, including whether games are fully installed or support offline play, remains to be seen. For instance, The Outer Worlds 2's cover warns that an internet connection is required. In contrast, Ninja Gaiden 4 lacks this warning, suggesting its disc might contain the complete game.
