This piece of information nearly went unnoticed but is of significant importance: during a dedicated presentation for Nobunaga’s Ambition Awakening Complete Edition, it was confirmed that the Nintendo Switch 2 will be compatible with standard USB mice in certain titles. While it was already known that the Joy-Con 2, the new controllers for the Switch 2, could function as a “mouse,” producer Michi Ryu surprised his audience by connecting a wired USB mouse during a live stream. “Once the USB mouse is plugged in, a message appears at the top left of the screen indicating it has been detected,” explained Michi Ryu, adding, “And when a mouse is connected, it takes priority over the Joy-Con 2.”
Currently, the demonstration of Nobunaga’s Ambition Awakening Complete Edition has only involved the use of a wired mouse. There is no information provided about support for wireless mice, either through Bluetooth or USB dongle. It will be necessary to await the console’s release and initial tests to determine the extent of this compatibility. However, the inclusion of traditional peripherals like wired mice suggests a more hybrid approach with the Switch 2.
