After several months of relative silence and an unexpected postponement, Killing Floor 3 has been given a release date. Tripwire Interactive confirmed today that the game will be released on July 24, 2025, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Initially scheduled for March 25, 2025, the title was delayed to allow the development team to thoroughly rework several aspects of the experience.
Since our decision to postpone Killing Floor 3, we have used this time to address player expectations and ensure that the next chapter in this beloved franchise meets our vision, explains Bryan Wynia, Creative Director at Tripwire Interactive. The support from our fans has been incredible, and with July 24, 2025 as the new release date, we are eager to showcase this ambition to players. This will be evident at launch, but also in the long term through continuous development of new features and content, which is a hallmark of our studio.
For reference, Killing Floor 3 is set in 2091, seventy years after the events of the second episode. The franchise’s dark universe takes a new direction: the megacorporation Horzine has perfected its bio-engineering technology to create an army of Zeds, monsters that are both aggressive and obedient. Facing this threat, there is only one bulwark: the rebel group Crépuscule, composed of specialized fighters who resist in a devastated world. The game will offer a six-player cooperative experience, featuring interactive environments, redesigned enemy AI, customizable weapons, and an enhanced progression system. New enemies, such as “The Impaler” or the Crawlers, will refresh the dynamics of confrontations.—(Do not use this part.)Context:Killing Floor 3, initially set for release on March 25, 2025, has been rescheduled to July 24, 2025 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
