Arc System Works has finally provided updates on Double Dragon Revive after several months without news. The game is still slated for release on October 23, 2025, so communication regarding it needs to be reinvigorated. This time, the spotlight is on introducing the various villains in the game; the notorious Shadow Warriors have returned more menacing than before. Characters such as Abobo, Linda, Burnov, and the notoriously infamous Willy are back to cause trouble, although it is now clear that the real threat goes by the name of Raymond. He is manipulative, orchestrating Willy’s atrocities from behind the scenes with support from the lethal twin sisters Ahn and Mihn, two new figures adding depth to the roster of antagonists. Visually, Double Dragon Revive offers a somewhat generic aesthetic, but the gameplay seems true to the original “beat ’em up” spirit, featuring jump-kicks, brutal combos, and weapons picked up from the ground to enhance combat encounters.
