A notable license in video games, “Terminator,” is set to make its return through a game that captures a distinctly retro aesthetic, reminiscent of the pixelated graphics from the 1980s. Thanks to Bitmap Bureau, “Terminator 2D No Fate” will be released this year, featuring events drawn from James Cameron’s original film and allowing players to control multiple characters: Sarah Connor, the T-800, and even John Connor during certain escape sequences. Developers have also hinted at surprises with unique events that deviate from the original narrative. The game will include various modes (Story, Arcade, Infinite, Boss Rush, Mother of the Future, and Level Training) along with a completely reworked soundtrack. Additionally, a physical version is planned, complete with items designed to entice immediate purchase.
Scheduled for release on September 5, 2025, for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
