For 15 years, FromSoftware has been reusing its assets by transitioning between different franchises. Despite Elden Ring essentially repeating previous Dark Souls games in terms of creature modeling, animations, and patterns, the game achieved such widespread acclaim that Hidetaka Miyazaki received forgiveness from critics and players alike. Recently, at The Game Awards, a new game was announced as a multiplayer spin-off with an experimental approach that garnered significant attention. Early previews suggest this will not be another iteration of familiar elements but rather an innovative experiment. Until more is known, FromSoftware has released a trailer to announce the release date and launch pre-orders. May 30, 2025, has been set as the release date to capitalize on ongoing franchise enthusiasm. The game will be available in various editions: standard, deluxe, and a collector’s edition featuring a 25 cm Røde Knight helmet. It is certainly an enticing offer.
