Beyond Two Souls is set to be adapted into a television series. Deadline magazine reported this news exclusively and noted that David Cage is involved in the project, along with Elliot Page as producer through his company, Pageboy Productions. The actor has secured the video game rights from Quantic Dream studio for the TV adaptation.
“Filming the game has been one of the most challenging and enriching acting experiences of my career,” said Elliot Page. “The narrative richness and emotional depth of the story provide us with a fantastic foundation. We aim to create a unique vision of the characters and their journeys that resonates with both fans and newcomers.”
According to Deadline’s statements, the project is still in its early stages and aims to explore the game’s non-linear narrative. This involves tracing Jodie’s journey from being a subject of a government experiment to becoming a fugitive, as she grapples with her abilities and connection to Aiden.
“We are extremely excited to collaborate again with Elliot Page on this project,” said David Cage. “I was deeply impressed by his acting performance in the game, and I couldn’t think of anyone else to tell this story with the same passion on another platform. I know Elliot has the talent and instinct to make this project truly unique for television.”
“Beyond Two Souls,” a video game by Quantic Dream, is being adapted into a TV series with involvement from its creator David Cage and actor Elliot Page, who will produce via his Pageboy Productions. The project joins the list of upcoming initiatives from Pageboy Productions, which has also recently signed a development agreement with Bell Media in Canada.
“This adaptation will honor the game’s legacy while inviting new perspectives,” said Matt Jordan Smith, head of development and production at Pageboy. “Examining survival issues and how split-second decisions can alter not just our lives but also those of others is crucial to telling this story.”
It remains to be seen whether Elliot Page and David Cage will adapt the video game word for word or make some changes to surprise fans who are well-versed in the video game…
