Donkey Kong Country Returns HD may not be under the Christmas tree, but it will be among the first games to arrive at the start of 2025. Nintendo has released a new ‘overview’ video to remind players about this 2D platformer, which originally shone on the Wii, Wii U, and 3DS. The game includes no less than 80 levels spread across 9 worlds, along with a two-player cooperative mode. Additionally, a modern mode is available for beginners, featuring extra hearts and other bonuses to assist in progression. Donkey Kong Country Returns HD is scheduled for release on January 16, 2025.
