In the meantime, as SNK has not announced its Metal Slug reboot, it is the French team at DotEmu who have taken on the task of reviving this beloved license from the arcade era and NeoGeo cartridges enthusiasts. For this release, the hexagonal studio surprises fans with a tactical top-down game where every move and displacement must be meticulously calculated as it is managed via a tactical grid. Over 20 types of different missions are announced, spread across 100 hand-drawn maps to preserve the visual identity of this legendary saga.
