In a few days, Marvel will release a new series for its streaming platform Disney+, titled “Agatha All Along,” which is a spin-off of the highly acclaimed “WandaVision” series from 2021. We recently had the opportunity to view the first four episodes and conducted an interview with Jac Schaeffer, the series director who also served as a writer for WandaVision. She shared insights into Agatha Harkness’s redemptive journey—a character stripped of her magical powers following her final confrontation with Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen). Driven to regain these powers, Agatha embarks on a perilous expedition through cursed lands, forming a team that includes actress Aubrey Plaza (who will appear in Francis Ford Coppola’s “Megalopolis”) and an enigmatic teenager whose identity has already sparked speculation on social media, portrayed by Joe Locke. With “Agatha All Along,” Marvel invites viewers into the gritty world of powerful sorcery, replete with pointed hats and magical potions. We explored Jac Schaeffer’s aspirations, ambitions, and connections to WandaVision.
