Announced at Geoff Keighley’s Summer Games Fest a week ago, Funko Fusion made another appearance during the Nintendo Direct on June 18, 2024. This provided an opportunity to see more gameplay of this title, which appears to follow the same concept as LEGO games. Featuring simple and slightly childish graphics, over 60 different characters to embody, and more than 20 licenses to parody in various ways, the game offers very accessible gameplay. Each character has their own unique weapons and special moves, with some possessing unique abilities to solve puzzles and uncover secrets. Among the franchises featured in the game are Jurassic World, Back to the Future, Jaws, The Thing, Chucky, Battlestar Galactica, Hot Fuzz, The Umbrella Academy, Five Nights at Freddy’s, Masters of the Universe, and Invincible.
The release of Funko Fusion is scheduled for September 13, 2024, on PC, PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
