Bandai Namco recently announced a new trailer for Dragon Ball Sparking Zero at the last minute, which came as a surprise to many. The game is highly anticipated as it is part of the Budokai Tenkaichi series, which reached its peak during the PS2 era. This marks the fourth trailer, and I suggest we watch it together immediately in both English and Japanese, followed by a discussion. Indeed, Mirai Gohan is confirmed to be included in the game.
First of all, one can observe that Bandai Namco’s communication is impressively smooth. A month after the last trailer, which revealed an entire fight between Goku and Vegeta, showcasing real-time transformations included in the game, another trailer has been released. Additionally, it highlighted differences between powerful characters and those who are quick. Today, a new theme is featured, which was teased in the Japanese magazine V-Jump two weeks ago. This time, the idea is to pit masters against their students. The matches include Gohan as a child versus Piccolo, Kame Sennin versus Krilin and Yamcha, adult Gohan versus Videl, Beerus & Whis, and the highlight, Mirai Trunks versus future Gohan—the version where Gohan lost his arm and became the most formidable, the one fans would have loved to see in the main timeline.
However, there is still no release date for this title, which is expected to arrive in 2024. We will remain patient and await further information and actual gameplay, as we did last month.
