PS Plus revealed December launch of celestial skateboarding adventure, Skate Story
Devolver Digital and Sam Eng’s Skate Story will make its debut on PlayStation Plus in December via the Games Catalog, available to Extra and Premium subscribers. This skateboarding adventure features a crystalline demon navigating nine eerie layers of the Underworld, giant frogs, and spooky glass demons. The game boasts over 70 tricks for players to master, along with skate trials to hone skills and earn gear. Skate Story earned accolades from the Tribeca Festival in 2024 after a preview with IGN. Described as « celestial skateboarding, » Skate Story tasks players with controlling a crystalline demon who must devour the moon to end its hunger. The game blends skateboarding with a bizarre narrative and challenging boss battles. Players must diversify their tricks to fill the combo bar and score points without falling. Players defeat bosses using rapid trick sequences, encouraging them to improve their skills and learn combos. Skate Story arrives on PlayStation 5 via the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog at launch, Sony announced in a blog post. No other games joining the December 2025 lineup have been revealed.
