New Demos for The Legend of Heroes: Trails Beyond the Horizon: Story and Battle Experiences

Falcom and NIS America have released two demos for The Legend of Heroes: Trails Beyond the Horizon, showcasing different aspects of the upcoming RPG. The Story Demo allows players to experience the game’s opening and carry their progress over to the full version upon release. It is currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. Note that players can transfer save data from the Story Demo to the full game via a Day One patch for the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 versions. PlayStation players can also explore the Battle Demo, which is exclusive to PS4 and PS5. This demo showcases the game’s innovative fusion of real-time and turn-based combat as players fight through three levels of the Grim Garten dungeon using Van’s team, Rean’s team, and Kevin’s team. Progress from the Battle Demo will not transfer to the full game. The Legend of Heroes: Trails Beyond the Horizon is scheduled for release in early 2026 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. The Limited Edition Switch 2 version (gamekey card) is priced at $109.99, which is $10 more than the other editions.
