Game of the Year Nomination for Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced Edition at Steam Awards 2025

Grand Theft Auto 5: Enhanced Edition is a contender for Game of the Year at the Steam Awards 2025. The updated PC release on March 4, 2025, qualifies the decade-old title under Steam’s eligibility rules. Unlike traditional awards, the Steam Awards empower players to nominate their favorite games across 11 categories, including VR Game of the Year, Labor of Love, and Best Game on Steam Deck. Players can nominate Grand Theft Auto 5 for Game of the Year. Nominations remain open until December 1, 2025, at 10:00 AM Pacific Time. The winners will be announced on January 3, 2026. The Enhanced Edition’s eligibility stems from Steam recognizing it as a new release, giving the game a fresh chance at awards despite its original 2013 launch. Separately, a new tool enables the conversion of Grand Theft Auto Online FiveM mods for the Enhanced Edition.
