Delayed Again: GTA VI Moves to November 2026 by Rockstar

Rockstar Games has delayed the release of Grand Theft Auto VI to November 19, 2026. The company announced the new date last Thursday, June 6, stating that more time is needed to ensure the game is the best it can be. The release was originally planned for May 2025, marking the second delay for the game, which had initially been expected late last year with a previous release date set for May 26, 2026. “We’re sorry for making you wait even longer, but we think it’s worth it,” Rockstar stated. “Grand Theft Auto VI will now be out on Thursday, November 19, 2026. These extra months give us time to make the game as good as it can be. We really appreciate your patience, and we can’t wait for you to dive into the world of Leonida and modern Vice City.” Rockstar still plans to release Grand Theft Auto VI on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. Pricing information is not yet available. Reportedly, Rockstar also laid off over 30 employees; further updates on the release and fan reactions are expected to follow.
