Monster Hunter-Style Gameplay Joins The Witcher 3 with Aeltoth’s ‘Wild Monster Hunt’ DLC

Following the crossover of The Witcher 3 into Monster Hunter World, modder Aeltoth has released Wild Monster Hunt, a free downloadable content (DLC) mod that brings Monster Hunter-style gameplay to The Witcher 3, letting players hunt monsters as Geralt. Wild Monster Hunt is one of several new mods for The Witcher 3. The Last Wish Project, another mod, aims to recreate the atmosphere of Andrzej Sapkowski’s first book. Available on Nexus Mods for PC, Aeltoth’s Wild Monster Hunt blends Capcom’s Monster Hunter with CD Projekt Red’s open-world RPG. The lore-friendly mod allows players to take on contracts, scout hunting grounds, craft new gear, and face increasingly challenging monsters. Wild Monster Hunt may offer an engaging way for fans to revisit The Witcher 3 while awaiting The Witcher 4, which is projected for release in 2027 or 2028.
