Dying Light Developer Cancellation of 2 Games

Game developer Techland, famous for Dying Light, has scrapped two projects after experiencing its worst financial year on record. Their latest report reveals a staggering 31 million loss last year, marking its second consecutive year in the red and its weakest financial performance to date. Since launching Dying Light 2 in 2022, a title that generated record revenue, Techland has not released any new games to date, instead banking heavily on Dying Light: The Beast to turn its fortunes around. Scheduled for August this year, it’s their biggest bet in three years. Despite high hopes for this upcoming title, the company has opted to cancel two unannounced projects. Unconfirmed reports suggest Techland was developing a AAA open-world action RPG, which is believed to be one of the cancelled projects.
